Nice setup... I love the glass bottles with the candles in them, is that salt on the bottom? Cool idea if it is ;)

One thing worries me, that looks like a very nice shelf, put a cloth under your altar. Sometimes incense ash can stain or burn wood, also if you're using charcoal or resin with the incense cones, they can spark. and don't get me started on the frustrations of getting wax off of wood!

find a heavy cloth, that won't just let the wax melt through and stick to the other side. also, over the years, you will destroy this cloth, so don't spend too much on it, check out thrift shops or the sales at your local spiritual shop

I love that you have the calendar behind, that's amazing for doing manifestation work! you can map your progress each day of the year :)

you're welcome! and not it isn't salt, it's sand. I didn't think about salt! Yea I need to find a cloth I already got wax on it D: hehe and I had the cone on two seashells, one a small abalone. I only use the charcoal in my cast iron pot with a lid and loose incense. And thankyou very much for the tips, I will hafta go shopping ^^. Thanks about the calendar I was worried it would look tacky but it's a beautiful one that has the full moons and holidays(pagan ones) on it, since i'm not very good at keeping track of the moon phases...let alone the day of the week.

Thanks again for the wonderful comment!!

sand is good too, I mentioned salt, because of it's purifying and protective qualities :)
:iconkoneko-panda:
ya i had never thought of that *sigh* i'm slacking. I go on a hiatus from everything and forget my years of training. it's rather pathetic. lol but thanks for mentioning that. I may have to change that, I would prefer salt to sand for that very reason. Besides the sand in there....<.< >.> its decorative sand that you pour into decorations *hangs head sadly* I is poor and don't live near a beach...it's the best I could do. haha.

don't hang your head in shame, city witches have to make do with what is in their community, if it just happens to come from the local arts & crafts store, then she/he will take it home, cleanse it and then it will be a high holy object worthy of her/his altar

i've found neat rocks in those rock areas outside of restaurants; any-thing can be sacred, if you alter your perceptions towards it :)

very true. I have plenty of wilderness around me i just never go in it....it's a bug issue. I often times carry home feathers from work. It's a school...so naturally surrounded by seagulls so I get lots of feathers. a couple years ago I made my staff from a big branch I found in a small grove by my house which was really awesome. It was great to have because I was the HPS of a small group of teenagers at the time (since disbanded due to them going off to college) When the snow melts I will hafta get back out there. I really miss getting down to my pagan roots.

HPS?

I used to make staffs too when I lived by a big stretch of woods. As for the bugs, unless you has serious allergies to bug bites, there are a lot of homemade bug repellents, that are all natural and actually work.

have you been to this site yet [link] ?
